hey jake... justin and i both have a song on our old computers (not plugged in) and we've been trying to remember who sings it.  we can't find it through Google at all.  justin sent it to me years ago, and he thought it came from you.  the song title is "Skyline"... and some of the lyrics are: "there's many ways of showing disbelief"... "and the false scene of a film that has no ending"  and the chorus is "she stays.... be brave"

Hi:  Wanted to let you know that I posted a response to your response and wait to hear from you.  Not sure if this is the right way to get a hold of you or not.

Uh, you're the only one I know who knows who Fear Factory is, so you're the only one I could tell. I was cracking UP yesterday. A local DJ was talking about a concert. Dino (from FF), his band is playing here in town. So he introduced them like this:

"Dino, formerly of Fear FACTOR...." LMAO I laughed so damn hard. I called him today and asked him how many people called to make fun of him for calling them Fear FACTOR. I was like, you know that's the TV show, and not the BAND, right? He didn't even know he fucked up, and he said no one else had called him, though the ad has been running for about 2 weeks now. I was dying laughing on the phone with him, but I felt bad because it was obviously a recorded commercial..now he has to go back and edit it. But still..that was funny as shit!

Somewhere Joe Rogan is remembering the time he told some chick he was in Fear Factory just to get laid.

Dear Jake,

I am writing to you to clear up a misconception. RevCathian came to you because she interjected herself into a conversation between myself and Shiny. During this interjection, she read my reply incorrectly. This is what she told you:

Jayme was talking to Mike (Shiny) about the last line of my letter to someone - a letter I sent privately via email - and she thought I was being evil because of what I said in the last line of the letter.

Jayme said no such thing. Jayme said nothing even close to that. What Jayme said was, "The reason I was asking was because I saw your reply to the rev through that evil, EVIL latest comment, and wanted to know if you had the full story at the time of your reply."

Where, in that sentence, she got that I was saying her reply was evil is beyond me. Now, she has gone to people's wiki pages and specifically spoken about me calling HER "evil".

I wanted to clear this up because from what i've seen her doing, she is leading people to believe that i'm spreading around the fact that she's "evil". After the horrible things she said to Myclette, I have a feeling she's needing people to see her as a victim rather than the attacker...and I refuse to let her use me to help her do that. You're not the only one she's said this to, and I know that you couldn't care less if you tried...but I care.

I know you see us all as words on a screen and nothing more. But that's precisely why I wanted to say something to you...because all you have of me is my word. My word online is no different than my word offline. I don't make myself out to be anything more or less than what I am away from this computer. If I called you, spoke to you in person, or sent you smoke signals, it's still ME. And I only portray myself as who I am. And i'll be damned if someone is going to make me be something that i'm not...even if it is just on a computer screen.

If someone said I was blonde, but I was really bald due to shaving my head and had not even one hair, I would correct that misconception as well. I am in control of what I do and what I say, no one else has the right to manipulate my words, lie about my words, or misrepresent me to fit their own agenda. If I see it happening, I try to stop it. Once I figure out the best way to do that, that is. Which is why I was asking for some input.

I wasn't comfortable addressing RevCathian on your wiki page, but I felt something was in order. I hope you're not too put out by this, but I had to clear this up.

I believe you.  Because if I were in your shoes, I'd want you to be able to trust and believe me, too.

I just want to correct you on one thing here:

You should know better than that.  I do care about you guys.  Remember, I had a relationship here that grew into something bigger and turned into "real life" with Becca.

I think I came off a lot more harsh with that comment than intended. I didn't even say it the right way! What I meant was that what happens here doesn't affect you offline, not with us commonfolk at least. Becca...that's a different story, you best be kept up at night if she had something serious happen to her! Heh. But for a lot of us, we carry it offline, too. I sometimes do when I know that something i've said has hurt someone unintentionally. Or when I see someone being horrible to someone else, it really upsets me, and I see those words long after i've clicked off the page. I was trying to say that you're not affected by stupid things like some of us are...because I will right here and now totally concede that I get pissed and upset over THE stupidest shit, lordy. LOL

Girl, that's why I adore you!  Not even joking.  It's hard to find people in this world that give a damn about you in real life, much less online in a semi-impersonal environment such as Mindsay.  You, in my book, are gold and I'm so glad that I can call you a friend!  You and I are too damn alike, but I know we're gonna have a hella amount of fun this weekend!
