Okay, so the President of our company mentioned Carla Bruni this morning in the Staff Meeting. And our company has over 50 people and about three including me knew who she was. This was too depressing.

That IS depressing. How do people not know the woman behind the leader of one of the most powerful nations in the world? If only that! I know Laura Brown & Queen Sofia & Angela Merkel & Empress Michiko... oh this makes me mad. Don't you work in a field with lots of international exposure?

Yes, I mean, not everyone deals with people in our international offices like I do. I guess they are just regular Americans. Sad, and lame too, for that matter.

At least they were educated today tho.

Still sad! Oh well...

It's okay. I have no idea what they talk about half the time.

Mostly domestic stuff?

Apparently, it's National French week this week!! An email from the Los Angeles consulate says it's through the 8th. When I googled it, I found a site that said it's through the 10th: http://www.frenchteachers.org/nfw/.

I saw a movie with your least fav actress tonight. I'll give you one guess...

Was it Nine? Grrr, why does she have to star in most of the films that I want to see =) Lately, I have been thinking that I should not be so hard on her. I will still probably dislike her, but not as much as I have in the past! She may upgrade to... "tolerable"!

No, I wasn't even aware that she was in Nine. But it was the Almodovar film: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0913425/. I have to say it was pretty good. If it comes out, see it! Now that Penny's tolerable.

Oh boy, you know how I love the Almodovar-Cruz team too =)

Gotta hand it to her, she is kind of a smart businesswoman =) Not as smart as she thinks she is though!!

Haha, no that's okay. I love how she is putty in Almodovar's hands. And without him she is worthless. Even tho her collaboration w/Woody Allen worked to her advantage, it is only because she went back to Almodovar.

Speaking of Woody (well, a different Woody!), I sent an e-mail to my friends asking if they want to see The Messenger with me =) I hope they say yes!!

Oh yay!! I have to warn you though. Apparently my friend heard the guys in back of us bawling like little babies. I didn't hear them though. My other friend denied crying at all, but then, I saw her take out kleenex a couple times during the film, so what was that about!!!!

Oh dear.. thank you for the warning. Gee!

OMG, did I not mention crying for a good twenty minutes! I had kleenex in my purse apparently, but I couldn't find it, so I just sort of wiped the tears away with my hand. Yeah.....non-stop crying for quite awhile. Yikes, be warned. Of course, the film UP made me cry, so go figure

STuff like Up would make me cry too. I am kind of a sap!

Yeah, I saw Up with this guy I like. Most everyone I knew who saw it cried and the guy had seen it before and said he didn't know what they were talking about. Then of course I CRIED. Anyway, this guy sort of made the first move and it took awhile for me to realize I liked him too. Then he figured out that since he's Jewish and I"m Christian that he thought that would be too much of a difference and didn't want to be in a relationship right now. Long story short, I'm thinking about converting to Judaism.

I want my kids to learn Hebrew in Hebrew school!!

Wow! Semi-seriously thinking about it? That is intense =) I wish you blogged a bit more because I never heard about this guy!

Well, it's a long story. Basically, one day in the grocery store about a year or two ago I guess, this guy walks up to me. "I know you." And I'm like, "From where?" So it turns out we go to the same screenwriters series and from time to time he had seen me but I never noticed him.

Of course that took me by surprise and I didn't think to get his number and didn't see him for many months after that. The next time I met him, I got his number, but didn't know him well enough and so I didn't call him.

The next time I saw him with A GIRL! And I thought they were all over each other just to spite me, because he was literally like right in front of me. I think he saw me and ignored me.

But then we saw each other again in September and I was going through a bad time. I thought he was ignoring me again, but then I found out he broke up with the girl he was seeing. I felt bad, because he was being nice and listened to me and we talked for two whole hours.

I'm leaving a lot out, but I've seen him twice since then. But he's into animation and told me not to call him, because he was busy pursuing his projects. He also thinks our diffrences in religion are too much and that we have separate life paths. But last time I saw him, he was so tired and felt ill almost, but I was so happy to see him, that I just talked his ear off.

I've honored his request not to call him, but gosh darn it, I want to!! When I went to see UP, I thought he might be there, because he was into animation and I wanted to call him. I didn't, and he just happened to turn up so I was glad. Phew, but that's the nuts & bolts.

I guess I'm not serious about converting to Judaism (when am I serious about anything???). He was the one initially interested in me. He still gives out good advice, but I'm not sure he wants to pursue me, with his recent breakup and all (it's been two months since the two months tho, so a total of FOUR months! He should get over her already).

Aha! Knowing the meat of this story actually does change my point of view on this boy then. Hmmm, that sounds pretty touchy. I can certainly understand both sides of this little relationship, but a two month relationship..? He should definitely be over her by now.

Well, who's to say how long it should take to get over a relationship though. I don't know how long he knew her and how serious the relationship was. Etc.
