Sick of being sick and a Girlie survey
We're not even two months into the new year and I've been sick again. I caught a cold on my last visit to Janesville. Not cool. But the trip was worth it just to be around people I love. The day after I got home I was the living dead and croaking like a frog. Luckily this time it wasn't as severe as the whooping cough I suffered through earlier. Whoo! So now after a mega dose of Mucinex, I'm up to doing some running around, visiting my brother, and being grateful for the small things in life. For lack of anything better to write, I got this survey from Foreverknight's blog. Let's see how I did:
Girls confessions
1. Do you sleep in your bra? Only when I forget to take it off! Usually when I'm really butt ass tired.
2. Do you sleep with socks on? Not really.
3. Would you rather sleep alone or with someone else? I'm single, been single for a long while, so I'm used to sleeping alone. It would take me a long while to get used to sleeping with another person. Even if I'm sharing a bed with a friend, I get self conscious about snoring or shaking my foot. I have a tendency to shake a foot and/or rock myself to sleep. It's a little quirk of mine I haven't been able to shake off.
4. Do you enjoy drama? Yes. Especially historical dramas.
5. Are you a girly girl? More like Geek Girlie Girl.
6. Who was the last person you hugged? My cat, Mr. Snuggles.
7. Small or large purse? BIG ASS purse. More like a duffel bag. I'm getting to be something of a bag lady as I get older.
8. Are you short? Hell's belles, yes. Only an inch over five feet tall.
9. Do you like somebody? I likes me plenty of people. Depends upon what you define as "really like" or just "like-like!"

11. Do you care if your socks are dirty? Uh, yeah. I'm diabetic so keeping my feet clean and healthy is important. That means wearing lots of good, clean socks!

13. Do you dress up on Halloween? Most definitely. Even if I'm not invited to a party, I do a little something by myself each year. It's my favourite holiday.

15. Where is the weirdest place(s) you have slept? In a janitor's closet, on the shores of an uninhabited island, on the floor of an abandoned building, and once spent several nights sleeping in a public baseball dugout when I was homeless.

17. Is there any type of rumor going around about you? I'm pretty there are several, but I don't believe it's anything for me to worry about. I get the sense I'm talked about very positively. *wink!*

1. What color is your bra that your wearing? White but now it's turned grey because it's old! Yeah, it's time for me to go bra shopping again soon... Or I should just learn to stop washing them with dark colors!
2. Do you prefer light or dark haired guys? I've often fallen for bad boys with long, flowing blonde hair. So much so it's pathetic! But no matter what I love guys with long hair. Occasionally I've dated guys with short hair, but the infatuation never lasted long!
3. Are you currently frustrated with a boy? With a boy? Not really. It's men who can be frustrating, but lucky for the men in my life I tend to be very patient and kind. I try to understand, but when I can't, I have to tune them out. I don't understand why some men do the things they do.
4. What's one thing a guy can do to make you like them? Be intelligent. Don't be stupid. He has to be expressive, make an effort to communicate and participate in things I like but also have the balls to ask me to do something new or creative that he likes. And, on that note, not be overly aggressive, too. I like forwardness but too much of that can be annoying, too. If he's just himself, is smart and open, unafraid to engage me in a conversation and have something meaningful or funny to say, he's my kind of guy. Oh, but most of all, he can't be afraid to show his feminine side. I like pretty men.
5. Do you have a best friend? I am so happy to have so many, I can't just claim one as THE best. I gots lots of BFFs!
6. Have you ever had your heart broken? Certainly.
7. Have you ever thought of having plastic surgery? Not really. I could lose weight, but don't want surgery for it. I'm very comfortable being uniquely myself.
8. Do you like your life? Yes. Yes, I do. Now more than ever.
10. Has one of your friends ever stolen a boyfriend from you? Yes. It's happened several times to me, unfortunately. Maybe that's why I still have jealousy issues creep up on me from time to time.
11. Have you ever jumped in the pool with your clothes on? I've been pushed! If I hadn't of, it would've been more fun I think.
12. Do you have more friends that are girls or boys? I tend to attract mostly guy friends in the past but lately it's been more equal. I like that.
13. How long have you had a facebook? I think just over a year now. Maybe almost two years. I don't keep track of it as often as I do my Mindsay blog. My Mindsay blog is much more personal.
14. Have you ever slapped a boy in the face? YES.
15. What are your biggest fears? Dying too soon or getting too sick. I don't want to die or get fatally ill while I'm young. I want to live a longer life so I've been paying more attention to my health lately. I finally quit smoking last December and the coughs/colds I've had this year have alerted me to how fragile my lungs are. I've had several aunts and uncles die from breast and lung cancer. I wish they were still in my life now that I am an adult. I don't want to die before I can see my nephews or my friends' kids grow up. Plus there's a lot I want to accomplish yet!
16. Have you ever cried yourself to sleep? Too many nights to count, but it's been a long while since I've cried like that.
17. Have you ever not been able to get someone off of your mind? Happens a lot.
18. Do you believe in the saying “once a cheater, always a cheater?" In my experience it depends on the situation and if the couple can forgive each other. People cheat for all sorts of reasons and rarely it's just about the sex. It's usually about the attention and the thrill of the chase. Some people are addicted to forbidden and unrequited love, too. Romantic obsessions can take years to heal from.
19. Have you ever had a good feeling about something? Of course.
20. Do you ever wish you were famous? I wouldn't mind the publicity.
21. Are you currently missing someone? More than just someone. I miss lots of friends.
