Darkroom hilarity today, seriously.

Once again, it was just Shelly and I in a Photography lesson by ourselves - and Grahame told us to develop some films we'd taken the previous week with the panoramic cameras. This wouldn't have been such a difficult task - providing Shelly hadn't been groping butter for the past 4 hours before the lesson. Seriously, everything she picked up - she'd drop. We ended up dropping the film cannister, the scissors and the lid for the developer. And of course, we weren't able to turn on any lights to look for it - as we'd ruin the film.

Blundering around in pitch-darkness looking for sharp objects with the constant risk of your partner standing on your fingers while you're crawling into a 3-ft high space underneath a table, constantly putting your hands down on empty film cannisters and offcuts - it wasn't that funny at the time, but looking back on it - it's fairly hilarious. :)

My first grader had a really hard morning, so I decided to separate him from our class.  I also decided that to make this positive, we should go to 1st grade's lunch so he could meet some of his classmates.  As a result, we went to the playground with them.  This is a conversation I got to overhear today.  I have laughed several times about it since then.

Little Boy:  Ms. Colon, Ms. Colon, Owen just kicked Abram in the nuts!
Ms. Colon:  Okay, send him over here
(Owen trots over)
Ms. Colon:  Owen?  Hi Owen, I just got a report that you kicked Abram
Owen:  I did
Ms. Colon:  Oh, you did?
Owen:  MmHmm
Ms. Colon:  And you were eating nuts? Why were you eating nuts?
Me:  No, Elba, he kicked him in a private area.

I just thought these pictures were funny and that I'd share it with everyone.

FOX just had "Stark Raving Dad", one of THE best Simpsons episodes EVER on.

I know, I know, everyone is kind of sick of all the focus that's been placed on Michael Jackson since he passed away.  I don't spend a lot of time with media, so I think I'm less sick of it than most others, (I also don't think I really believe that he's gone) but ... it was absolutely perfect.  I call my best friend Lisa EVERY YEAR on her birthday, and sing, "Lisa it's your birthday ... happy birthday Lisa" thanks to this episode.  Find a way to watch it if you've never seen it. 

Sidenote, the All-Star line-ups have been put up, and I am SOOOOOOOOO excited for the game!  I loooove baseball.  Why is Ted Lilly the only Cub on the team, though?  The NL is stupid, this is proof, but I am excited to see D. Wright, Yadi, and Zimmerman get to play.  I am an AL girl all the way, and am super excited to see our finest kick NL ass AGAIN for home-field advantage, but this is the one time of the year I'm supposed to be able to see everyone at once.  Game is going to kick ass.

On a more unrelated thought, I need new music.  Preferably, music that one can work up a nice sweat to.  I am someone who needs a lot of motivational noise to keep running/ellipticalling when working out.

I am tired. Something tells me I should go to bed. But I'll stay up and read instead.

 

OH and I saw The Hangover. Freaking hilariouis. Pointless, but hilarious. =] Just like everything else.
